Join us for Reach for Ribera del Duero 2023 

Calling all independent wine merchants to join us in celebrating Spain's most sought-after new kid on the block this coming February.

After the success of the 2022 campaign, we’re investing and expanding this promotion to allow us to partner with even more merchants in February 2023 . Ribera del Duero wines are becoming increasingly well-known and sought after by engaged UK consumers looking for a high-quality alternative to the norm, and this promotion is the perfect opportunity to put them front and centre through a package of support

 

ABOUT 'REACH FOR RIBERA DEL DUERO'


  • It’s free to take part – in fact, we’ll pay you £200, but spaces are limited so register your interest early

  • You’ll be provided with a merchandising pack to decorate your store, educate your customers and use as rewards or prizes in competitions

  • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or newsletters? We will send you digital assets to help you promote your wines online

  • The retailer with the best all round promotion will win a trip to Ribera del Duero including visits to a number of different vineyards

 

PARTICIPATION CRITERIA


To take part all you need to do is run a high-visibility promotion featuring Ribera del Duero wines in-store (and online as appropriate), using the visibility pack that we’ll provide you with and ensuring that the following criteria are met:

  • Must be an independent wine merchant in the UK and list a minimum of two Ribera del Duero wines in-store or online
  • Promote the campaign online via social media and your customer network
  • Engage consumers and educate them on different Ribera del Duero wine styles
  • Participants must run the promotion for a minimum of 2 weeks in February

 

Please note if you have more than one store, you’ll need to register them independently to receive separate merchandise packs and payments for each store. Although not compulsory we do encourage you to host tastings as it's a great way to engage customers and teach them about the region!

 

HOW WE'LL SUPPORT YOU


Funding
We’ll pay you £200 for your participation, after providing us with feedback from your campaign

Promotional Materials
We’ll provide you with a comprehensive POS visibility pack to help educate and reward your consumers. This will include items such as maps, posters, neck-tags, corkscrews and more, to support your in-store campaign.

Digital Assets
We’ll also share digital assets including logos, banners, videos and images so that you can customise your website, newsletters and social media channels.

Social Media Support
And finally, don’t forget to tag us @DORiberaUK and #ReachForRiberadelDuero on Twitter so that we can promote your involvement too.

 

FEEDBACK


In order to receive payment of £200 for your participation, and be in with a chance to win the prize below, we will require the following information from you:

  • Completion of a short evaluation form stating number of attendees, consumer feedback, changes in perception etc
  • A minimum of 5 images of your promotion; including Ribera del Duero merchandise in situ, customers participating in a tasting (if applicable), and a display of Ribera wines

Win an exciting trip to meet some of the winemakers and discover the wines of Ribera del Duero in 2024
 

nb The winner will be selected by Ribera del Duero based on the most innovative approach to this year’s promotion, whilst taking into account the use of social media, newsletters, digital assets, merchandise displays and promotional activities.

 

TIMELINE


 

  • Friday 6th January: Deadline to register your interest for participation
  • January: We’ll be in touch to confirm your involvement and to share further details about the campaign
  • February: Reach for Ribera del Duero – merchants across the UK will be working alongside you to promote Ribera del Duero, with masterclasses, food-pairing dinners, virtual training, in-store tastings and more
  • March: On receipt of images and a short evaluation form, we’ll issue payments and announce winner for the trip!
