Through this notice, the Regulatory Council for the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin (henceforth, the RC) advises users of the Internet portal about its policy on the protection of data of a personal nature so that the users may determine freely if they wish to provide such of their personal data to the RC as may be required.

The RC reserves the right to modify the present policy so as to adapt it to new legislation, in which case the changes to be introduced shall be announced on this page with reasonable advance notice of the putting into effect.


In accordance with Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Data of a Personal Nature, the data of a personal nature collected shall be subject to automated treatment and incorporated to a personal data file registered with the General Data Protection Registry, called “COMMUNICATION AND ACCESS CONTROL” responsibility for which lies with the RC, whose registered address is C/Hospital no. 6, 09300 Roa (Burgos), with the security measures established by Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December implemented.


Users shall have sole responsibility for the veracity and correctness of the data included, holding the RC harmless from any responsibility in this respect.

Users guarantee and are answerable for, in any case, the exactness, currency and authenticity of the personal data facilitated, and they commit themselves to maintain them duly up-to-date. The User undertakes to provide correct and complete information.

The RC reserves the right to update, modify or eliminate the information contained in its web pages, and may even limit or deny access to the said information.



The Regulatory Council for the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin may use its own or third-party cookies when a User navigates through the sites and web pages of the portal. The cookies that may be used in the sites and web pages of the portal are associated uniquely with the browser of a certain computer (anonymous User), and do not supply the name of the User in themselves. Thanks to cookies, the Regulatory Council for the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin can recognise the browsers of registered users after they have registered for the first time, without their needing to log in at each visit for access to the areas and services reserved exclusively to them. The cookies used cannot read the cookie files created by other providers.  The cookies that are used in the web sites and pages of the portal may be served by the RCs own distinct servers, or from the servers of certain third parties who provide services to us, and serve the cookies on behalf of the RC (such as the cookies used to serve publicity or certain content in order that the User visualises the said publicity or content with the predetermined time, number of occasions and manner). You are hereby informed that the personal data obtained as a consequence of your registration on the web, shall be used for the purposes of information and promotion.


Likewise, you may direct your communications and exercise the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition without charge at the address, or by ordinary post directed to the RC, Ref. LOPD, c/ Hospital nº6, 09300 Roa (Burgos).

To exercise the cited rights, and in compliance with the Instruction 1/1998, of 19 January, from the Data Protection Agency, it is obligatory for you to accredit your identity before the RC through remittance of a photocopy of your DNI (national identity card), or any other means valid in law. Nevertheless, your registration data can be modified or rectified at the web site itself once you have identified yourself with your user name and password.


The RC has adopted levels and measures of security for the protection of personal data by installing in its systems and files the technical means necessary to ensue confidential treatment of the data, avoiding their loss, alteration or access.

The RC declines responsibility for possible damages that could arise from interference, omission, interruptions, viruses, telephony faults or disconnections in the operational availability of this electronic system due to causes beyond the RCs control; for delays or blockage in the use of the present electronic system caused by deficiencies or overloads of telephone lines or overload in the Data Processing Centre, the Internet or other electronic systems, as well as for damages which might be caused by third parties through illicit activities beyond the control of the RC.
Nevertheless, the User should be aware that security mechanisms on the Internet are not invulnerable.


The User declares that they have been informed of the conditions relating to protection of personal data, accepting and consenting to their automated handling by the RC, in the manner and for the purposes indicated in the present Personal Data Protection Policy.
