Joris Gutierrez Garcia, the 2nd Best Sommelier of Quebec in 2020, recently brought his expertise to 30 SAQ stores in the Greater Montreal Area, in Quebec. As a sommelier at the renowned "Le Club Chasse et Pêche" restaurant in Montreal, Joris is a respected figure in the wine industry with a wealth of knowledge and experience. 

A total of 100 SAQ employees were trained within a total of 30 stores, while a total of 15 wines were showcased during the intitiative. The employees were impressed with the variety of wines tasted, including Joven, Crianza, and Reserva, which permitted a better understanding of the DO and eventually better advices to their clients and team members.

Joris was praised for his approach and the quality of information he provided during the short duration of the tastings. His passion for Ribera del Duero wines and his expertise as a sommelier made these trainings a success and left a lasting impression on all those who attended. These trainings were a great opportunity for SAQ employees to (re)discover the large offer of Ribera del Duero wines available in the market and update their knowledge of these wines.
