Joris Gutierrez Garcia, Advanced Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers, hosted a training tour in 10 LCBO stores. The objective of these trainings was to update the level of knowledge of LCBO product consultants, encourage the prescription of Ribera del Duero wines, (re)discover the large offer of Ribera del Duero wines available at the LCBO, and enable employees to eventually provide better advice to their clients and other team members.

The host presented and tasted Ribera del Duero wines available in 10 stores, and a total of 8 wines were showcased and tasted with 48 LCBO employees during this initiative. The trainings were a great success and helped to promote the wines of Ribera del Duero in the Greater Toronto Area. Joris' approach and the quality of information given during the short duration of the tastings were praised by the LCBO employees. It was a successful event that left a great impression on the attendees, and will without a doubt lead to more awareness of the Ribera del Duero wines in Ontario.
